So, its our first Mountain Dew in October! Something big is in the works for MD Thursday at the end of the month in celebration for halloween. Anyway, I’m still planning for celebration for tonight. I’m probably goin out to Taco Dang Bell….not to be confused with normal uncool taco bell. So there may be a party at TDB. Pictures will come later this evening! Yesterday evening, Chris’ Band (The Transit) had the opportunity to head out to Mansfield (near DFW) to lead worship for a youth Night of Worship. It was our third time playing together as a band. We just played a compilation of our previous two sets. It was quite interesting.

The soundman didn’t know how to handle our amps. He kept repeating, “Those amps are going to interfere with the monitors” It was super funny. We kept assuring him it would be okay that we didn’t need to be in the monitors. Our mighty good leader, Chris Pound, lead from a Brittany Spears headset. All 4 mic’s kept feeding back.

Despite all that, God showed up tremendously and touched several of the youth. It was awesome. We scratched practically half of our set and flowed into a Matt Gilman song. It was perfect! There were several encouraging words from God though the team. The folks out there blessed us with dinner and gas! They were awesome. I hope to be involved with future outreaches as it brings us out of our comfort zone at Teen Mania. It totally throws us in a different environment that stretches us. Its great.

I post today to start the announcement of a glorious event, but this is not any ordinary event. This is a day where people across the US of A join together in fellowship for one cause

Actually family style dinner @ maggianos is a glorious invention!

Mark, M@, and Myself  went to Maggianos (alliteration!) yesterday and went family style. So I’m enjoying the leftovers…Everyone knows how the system for family style goes: Get the first dish eat it, then ask for more, eat it, and ask for more, take one bite and then “oh I’m full, can we pack it up? Its a glorious system. Nonetheless, I’m currently enjoying Maggiano’s salad (the good bleu cheese one).  Now tonight the feast comes.

Hello!

Sorry I’ve been a stranger recently! The internship has been in transition between the August classes which is the bulk of the interns. They’ve been moving people around the ministry placements to help keep things floating…Matt and I got moved to the kitchen crew for a few days. We’re now back at home in our auditorium. Graduation happened so fast…and most of my amigos are gone. See the thing is everyone expected Matt and I to be strung out over the transition, but honestly this has been some of the best stuff yet. God is good. We’ve been priviledged to stay w/ the SOW & live with them. Danny, our manager, has really been taking care of us. He is seriously one of the coolest guys out there. I’m so glad he became our manager. Chris is our new Peer Advisor, he basically holds the role of a CA & RD. We got moved out of the house and upgraded to the rooms in the upstairs cafe. This is awesome because of AC, short walking distance, cleanliness, food is just downstairs, central gathering place, and free wifi….oh and like 10 washers and driers.

So, yes…I’ve been distanced from a great number of my friends, but I’ve also been opened to a ton more.

Anyway, my new room. I figured yall=(mommy carole) would want to see it…

My new bunk, w/ a bed side table w/ a TV as my 2nd screen for my mac….:)

Okay back on subject. This time is called Gauntlet, its basically intro to HA for the Augusts. Sessions all day to get a feel for what the HA is, what they believe, all that good stuff. So, I’ve been going non-stop. 6:30am soundcheck-10:00pm evening sessions. So that’s where I’ve been….so I also must go because it is 11:55pm…and I have to get up @ 6:05. So sweet dreams!

So this morning I was treated to some of my grandpa’s famous eggs.

He is a breakfast man! We had his eggs, ham, rolls, and some danishes. It was great!
